I’ve been so good and not indulged in major desserts the past week - I mean a couple night of popcorn never hurt nobody - & I was saving it all for these Homemade Strawberry Pop Tarts.

This go around, I’m showing love through the gift of chocolate-y baked goods - Rich Turtle Brownies. Gooey + rich + chocolatey (& also my excuse to make caramel sauce from scratch), & the chocolate overload is just everything Jordan loves in a dessert.

I had a big cooking mishap this weekend, all the result of not properly inspecting my grocery items. We had friends in town all the way from New Zealand, and it’s their first time up in our neck of the woods, so prior to heading in to open the bar I thought it would be nice to make a home-cooked breakfast. I got jacked on these croissant breakfast sandwiches I found on Pinterest - loaded with egg & cheese & ham & arugula. They looked like the perfect breakfast treat, so I went for it. & while shopping at Trader Joe’s, and browsing the new items, I was just so excited

Every time we go down to Portland, I LIVE to go to Salt & Straw. Like literally it is the one place I request we go every trip, and I find myself Apple mapping where the closest Salt & Straw is when we’re out putzing around. It’s literally the BEST ice cream spot on the West Coast, & totally worth every the long lines & pricey cones. I get so hell bent on going there because ice cream is a rare treat.
