Halloween 2022

Halloween at home was big on the Fall foods, & I’m happy for what we put together + enjoyed. Dinners + happy hours had a little extra Fall flair, and it’s been fun to enjoy with our usual dose of Halloween flicks.

I used my ever growing Pinterest board, and created a bit of a Halloween hit list of fun foods + drinks to work through before the end of October.

Some of my top picks + things I checked off my “Halloween foods” bucket list this year (all super fun + foods I’d love to make again next year).

Halloween Charcuterie Board

We decided to kind of cut out early on Halloween + enjoy the day, and that kicked off with fun beers and a Halloween charcuterie board. Particularly a charcuterie board perfect for 2. A totally orange cheese + some other items of that same hue, dark colored fruit, and spicy charcuterie.

Skull Burgers

I saw this in a food network magazine, and thought the idea was so cute. My execution was deifnitely a little rough, but the idea was there and it was fun.

I used this burrito recipe, added in some roasted cauli steaks as the meat + some homemade tomato aioli for the read sauce. So simple + fun, and can accompany so many different sandwich recipes.

I did cut the bread post toasting, and in retrospect probably not the best idea.

Pumpkin Margaritas

Just really loved these. Sweet. Delicious. Just a very fun little something to enjoy this season. Served with some eyeball bites - my go to this time of year. Mozz balls hollowed out, stuffed with an olive, wrapped in prosciutto, and a dot of hot sauce on top. Very fun + very good.

Sugar Cookies

Holidays are just better with decorated sugar cookies. A total fact! We have a lot of fun getting creative + decorating with our little flair. This year, we made a small batch and each decorated a handful on Halloween night. A very fun + festive cap off to the season.
