Pumpkin Whiskey Sours

Currently having a “can’t stop - won’t stop” moment with these Pumpkin Whiskey Sours. They are punchy + citrusy + bright, and shaken with just a spoonful of pumpkin puree. And this year they were the signature drink of our Christmas tree decorating party. It feels like the ideal cocktail to usher in Thanksgiving. So perfectly Fall and so so tasty without being cloyingly sweet. A festive twist on a classic cocktail, which is what I think is the best vibe for a holiday cocktail. Shake it up, serve up in your best cocktail glass, and enjoy.

For the cocktail (serves 2)

  • 6 oz. whiskey

  • 2 1/4 oz. lemon juice

  • 2 1/4 oc. cinnamon simple syrup (I made a traditional simple syrup + added in 2 cinnamon sticks to simmer with the sugar + water)

  • 1 1/2 tbsp pumpkin

  • 4-5 drops of bitters

  • egg white from 2 eggs

Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with no ice. Shake vigorously for one minute. Add ice to the shakes + shake again for another minute. Strain between two glasses. The foam should naturally settle on top. Garnish with a couple cocktail cherries + enjoy!
